About the author

From game worlds to thrillers.

After working in the video games industry for many years, on everything from Resident Evil to PlayStation Home, Charlie Cox now writes thrillers.

Zero Point One was his first commercial novel and the beginning of Mason Granger’s fast-paced story: back from the dead, deeply unimpressed, and surrounded by people who are not what they seem.

The series continues with a Christmas short story and Zero Point Two. Mason may be dead, but his troubles are only getting started.

Zero Point One

An undead anti-hero battles biotech and corporate espionage in a darkly humorous British thriller.

Mason Granger, security guard and disgraced army sergeant, wakes up dead in the company morgue after a night out on the lash. What idiot said drinking was fun? And more to the point, how did he end up as a walking, talking corpse?

With a raging headache and a short temper, Mason heads into a hostile world to discover what brought him back—and what it might do to him next.

The Twelfth Night of Christmas

An undead anti-hero battles corporate mercenaries in a darkly humorous short thriller.

Mason Granger, recently undead and somewhat of a reformed character, wants to do a mate a favour. But when that mate is the tactical head of the Military Intelligence Undead branch—and you’ve got a biological AI running about in your body—no favour goes entirely unpunished.

This short story follows the events of Zero Point One. Christmas arrives Mason Granger style.

Zero Point Two

An undead anti-hero takes on billionaires and political conspiracies in a darkly humorous British thriller.

Mason used to be Britain’s most wanted corpse. Now he’s working for the Military Intelligence Undead branch, investigating anti-undead extremists, billionaire assassinations and sinister forces that want him buried—again.

As the body count rises and the undead face extinction, Mason finds himself in a fight no amount of sarcasm, punching bad guys or stolen superbikes can outrun. Being dead was supposed to be the hard part.
